- Location history: We store your location history for up to 30 days
- Zone information: We track which zones you've visited and when

- Phone number: Used for account creation and friend connections
- Name: Provided during sign-up
- Apple Sign-In data: Email (if provided) and user ID
Usage Data
- Friend connections: Who you're connected with
- Zone memberships: Which zones you've joined or created

- Share your location with friends when you're at designated zones
- Notify friends when you arrive at or leave zones
- Enable friend connections and zone sharing
- Improve app functionality and user experience

We do NOT:

- Share your location with anyone except your approved friends
- Track your location outside of designated zones (when sharing is set to "Current Zone Only")

- With friends you've explicitly connected with
- When you're at zones you've chosen to share

- Secure authentication via Apple Sign-In
- Firestore security rules to protect your data

Data Retention
- Location data: Automatically deleted after 30 days
- Account data: Retained until you delete your account

Age Requirements and Children's Privacy
FriendZone is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Note: While our legal minimum age is 13, the app has a 16+ rating on the App Store due to features including location sharing and social networking. We recommend parental guidance for users under 16.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date.
